Principal's Message

Welcome to our website. As you explore the different sections, we hope you find the information interesting and helpful.  This website is here to inform and communicate, so please let us know if you have any questions or suggestions.  You can email me directly at williamss@wws.k12.in.us.

At Washington Woods, we serve over 400 students in grades K-4. We work hard every day to build the strong relationships that are so important to each student's success in school. We also believe in the importance of modeling and recognizing our five guiding principles: Respect, Responsibility, Compassion, Honesty, and Hard Work . The guiding principles help us build a strong and effective school community.

Beginning in 2014, our school has been working with the FranklinCovey organization and The Leader in Me process.  We are committed to becoming a Leadership School, using the 7 habits of highly effective people to help all students and staff develop their leadership capabilities.  You will be able to follow our progress at "TLIM" under the "About Us" tab.

Each year we survey our families to monitor how we're doing and where we can improve. You can see the results of the 2014-15 survey by going to the Survey Results link below.  We are gratified each year by the support of our families, and we work hard each year to keep that trust.
